Exhibits Information
Smart Indoor and Outdoor Geographic Information System
This system provides integrated seamless indoor and outdoor navigation system in both outdoor areas such as pedestrian’s pathways, alleys, bridges, as well as some indoor premises such as shopping malls. The system will also provide other services such as enquiry on nearby information and broadcast real time special notice. Underlying the system, a scalable cloud platform is developed involving various kind of technologies such Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The system will be piloted in the Kowloon East.
Smart Phone Booth
Superseding the conventional phone booth, Smart Phone Booth will provide new services including high speed mobile and Wi-Fi connectivity, multi-media phone, charging facilities and interactive touch screen automated vendor services with e-wallet services. Latest local information will also be displayed on the digital panel at the exterior of the booth.
Elderly Healthcare Solution Platform
This system is an eHealth Platform for elderly to collect their vital sign data and gives alert through mobile phone. Also, the usability is specific and convenient to elderly. In the meantime, the system provides interface for medical professionals to pre-set individual threshold for each elderly.
GPS tracking devices
GPS tracking devices can maintain high accuracy of positioning, both indoor and outdoor. With developed mobile app, users can receive immediate and accurate information about the loved ones at anytime or anywhere. If family members are lost or are in emergencies, their location can be identified efficiently.
Smart Home IoT Ecosystem
The system controls home appliances remotely and improves energy management and efficiency through an IoT ecosystem. Smart Home IoT Ecosystem also enables home monitoring, access control, fire and gas leakage detection. Its console even offers a Family Lifestyle Solution that empowers both children and their elderly family members to privately and securely share lifestyle information, and allows family members to know their real-time status.
Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technology
On display here is not only a plain picture but by scanning through their app, the 3D effect of a moving object, real human stimulation and also video projection can be experienced. This is just like injecting life into the graphic and making it more of a surprise.
Smart Security Camcorders
Equipped with motion detecting notifications and motion / voice-activated functions, this camcorder can help save memory. The built-in rechargeable battery can support continuous recording and standby time which lasts a few days. The camcorder can switch mode according to different needs.
Smart Air Con
According to EMSD, 34% of the electricity consumed in residential and commercial area in Hong Kong is in air-conditioning. With the use of IoT devices and solutions, Smart Air Con could efficiently monitor and control the indoor temperature through mobile phones and tablets which replaces the conventional infra-red remote control. This system can be installed in offices and commercial buildings.
Smart Car Park
A smart system with coordinated control of advanced IoT sensors in the car parks supported by sophisticated backend platform, users can locate the available parking space real-time, search and reserve the target lot and seamlessly pay for the parking fee. The system fully integrates with mobile apps, secure payment gateway, indoor and outdoor navigation. The system aims to optimize parking space usage and increase efficiency of parking operations for car park management companies, while delivering comfort and convenience to the drivers in the constrained parking environments with high customer satisfaction.
Smart City in Smart Pod
The exhibition explores new concepts of future smart cities, showing architectural and interior designs, as well as applications of art and technology. A series of models, drawings and photographs are presented in a futuristic style aluminium mobile house.
Automated Guided Vehicle System for Warehouse
Realise unmanned storage and retrieval, increase warehouse operational efficiency and usable area. Automated guided vehicles can lift and move a whole rack to loading platform and reduce manpower needs.
Green Smart City Demo Kit
Demonstrates the advanced technology development and the foreseeable technology which we will come across in our daily life. This interesting interactive Green Smart City Demo Kit features in 4 Zones (Public Transportation Zone, Commercial Zone, Industrial Zone and Residential Zone) with 11 technologies on Green Transportation and Smart Mobility.
Smart EV Charging Facility
Provide medium speed electric charging for EV and support different types of EV as well as international charging modes with various features available to meet market needs (single or three phase electricity supply, via charging station or charging socket, on-off switch or identification through NFC identification). In response to the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP), smart EV charging facility is highly expandable and can support value-added services such as management and fee charging systems, and energy management technology.
Collision Avoidance System
Offers six advanced driving features including pedestrian collision alerts, warnings for dangerous lane changing, crash on vehicle in front alerts, with less than safe driving distance prompts, tracking speed limit alerts and intelligent high-beam light control, which helps to reduce traffic accidents.
Smart Medicines Management System
Smart Medicines Management System digitalises images and records of medicines, hospital and clinics records, as well as database of patients, enabling enquiry via mobile devices, email and other smart systems. On distribution of medicines, medical professionals can record via smart phones, enabling more convenient monitoring and follow up.
Smart Bed Monitoring System for Aging-in-place
This technology monitors seniors’ by sensing their sleeping pattern. When a senior exits from or return to bed, the under-mattress sensor will send warning signals, via an internet hub, to designated mobile devices of family members and caretakers as push notifications. The system will also observe the change in senior’s sleeping behaviour, thereby reducing the risk of potential hidden illnesses, falls and unattended night wandering.
Blind Cane Navigation System
Provides audio guidance to the visually impaired to lead them to the destination by RFID technology. With the aid of the Blind community cloud platform, users can obtain the latest updates on the map and enjoy a seamless navigation across different regions. The system also provides other functions such as item tagging to make the living of visually impaired more convenient.
Smart Lighting
Build a platform to connect different LED devices and enable remote control of lighting to save electricity and lengthen lifespan of devices. Furthermore, data collected from multiple sensors can be used to improve street lighting, parking, safety and security.
Automated Refuse Collection System
Invented in Sweden early in 1961 with over 700 projects have been successfully completed all over the world. Characteristics include: totally enclosed, no leakage of smell, refuse or liquid; general wastes, recyclables, kitchen wastes & soil linens can be collected; transport up to 2km; refuse is stored inside refuse containers; and transport air will be treated to remove dust & odour.
CityTree
An air purification device integrated with IoT and biotechnology and uses special moss and sensors to alleviate ambient air pollution by absorbing and filtering fine dust and other air pollutants. The data collected through the sensors will be used for research on alleviating air pollution and help to understand people’s behaviour and optimise urban environment.
Farmergotchi
Incorporated with Internet-of-Things (IoT) and the hydroponic cultivation technologies, households are able to self-sufficiently cultivate and enjoy healthy hydroponic vegetables. They can share their joyful experiences with family and friends through the live video application. Users can remotely monitor the growth of the plants through the App and collect data, upload it to cloud and share their experiences. At the same time, messages containing tips on the optimal fertilization rate will be sent to users.
